A. Akgün Altuğ is a visionary entrepreneur and one of the founding members of ARMA Filter A.Ş., a leading company specializing in the production of spare parts and accessories for the automotive, white goods, and electronics industries. He is also the co- founder of KARYA Park Fidancılık, a company dedicated to the cultivation of outdoor ornamental plants.

After graduating from an industrial vocational high school, Akgün Altuğ began his professional journey in Istanbul. His entrepreneurial mindset led him to identify an opportunity to produce parts for white goods locally—parts that were previously imported. He shared this innovative idea with his team, laying the groundwork for his transition into business ownership. In 1988, he co-founded a company that continues to excel in various fields, particularly in filter systems, achieving both national and international acclaim. In recent years, Akgün Altuğ and his companies have achieved remarkable success, with ARMA Filter A.Ş. becoming a tax record holder in Sakarya and earning multiple accolades in the field of exports. The company is ranked among Türkiye’s top 500 enterprises, providing employment to over 3,000 people. Today, ARMA Filter A.Ş. continues its operations internationally, with production and warehouse facilities located in Düsseldorf, Germany, Fabriano, Italy, Los Angeles, California, Poland, and China. This global presence underscores the company's commitment to innovation, quality, and expansion across key international markets.

After the establishment of the Sakarya 1st Organized Industrial Zone in 1993, A. Akgün Altuğ was appointed as the first Chairman of the Board of Directors, playing a pivotal role in its early development. In 2005, he was elected to the SATSO Assembly. His dynamic participation in the Assembly led to his election as the Chairman of the Board of Directors in the 2009 SATSO elections. His leadership and vision were further recognized when he was elected as the Chairman of the Assembly in 2013, a position he held with distinction until 2018. In April 2018, he was once again re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of SATSO, continuing his influential role in the region's business and economic development.

A. Akgün Altuğ is also a prominent member of several influential national organizations. He was elected to the High Coordination Board of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry at the TOBB General Assembly in May 2009. Additionally, he was appointed as a member of the TOBB Strategy Supreme Board in 2013.

Currently, A. Akgün Altuğ holds various senior-level positions in numerous associations, foundations, and organizations that drive Türkiye’s economic growth. His roles include serving on the boards of Sakarya Teknokent A.Ş., ABİGEM A.Ş., the TR-42 Marmara Development Agency, and TÜBİTAK Marmara Teknokent A.Ş., among others. In addition to his professional achievements, A. Akgün Altuğ is deeply committed to supporting the socio-economic and cultural development of Sakarya. He continues to contribute both individually and through his business ventures to various initiatives in the region. His active membership in key associations and organizations further exemplifies his leadership and influence. These include:

Born in 1964 in Sapanca, A. Akgün Altuğ is married, has three children, and is fluent in English.
