M. Arif Parmaksız, born in Nevşehir in 1953, is a distinguished leader with a long history of contributions to both the business and local community sectors. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Nevşehir, later expanding his expertise by studying business administration in Germany in 1971.

His professional career began in the public sector, where he worked as a Surveyor at the Nevşehir Provincial Directorate of Public Works from 1976 to 1979. In 1979, he transitioned into the private sector as a construction contractor, where he built a successful business.

Beyond his entrepreneurial achievements, M. Arif Parmaksız has been an influential figure in regional sports and commerce. He served as President of the Nevşehir Sports Club from 1989 to 1996 and as Chairman of the Nevşehir Commodity Exchange from 1994 to 1999.

Since 1999, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nevşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, continuing to play a vital role in the region’s economic development. He has also been an active member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).
