Mehmet Yılmaz was born in Buyukkoy (village) in Cayeli district, Rize province in 1964. He was graduated from Manisa High School. Yilmaz having business operations mainly in food sector has also operations in construction and agriculture areas.

Elected as a member of the Board of Manisa Chamber of Trade and Industry in 1990 acted as Deputy Chairman for the Chamber for two period, and as the Vice Chairman of Organized Industry Zone Entrepreneurs Committee of Manisa Chamber of Trade and Industry. Served in the Board of Directors of Manisa Chamber of Trade and Industry for 27 years continuously, Mr. Yilmaz was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Manisa Chamber of Trade and Industry on April 13, 2018.

Mr. Yilmaz elected as a Member of Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry at the 74^th general Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, also acts as a Member of the Board of Customs Tourism Businesses, TR-33 (Zafer Development Agency) containing Manisa - Uşak - Afyonkarahisar – Kütahya provinces, and a Member of the Board in Manisa Celal Bayar Higher Education Foundation. Mr. Yilmaz also collected the Bakery Products Manufacturers in Manisa under a roof and acted as the Chairman of Manisa Province Bakery Manufacturers Procurement-Distribution Cooperative for 16 years. He acted as a legal expert related to food industry.

Mr. Yilmaz having active role in civil society institutions is one of the founders of Education Contribution Association granting scholarships to successful university students is currently a member of Manisa, Mesir Promotion and Tourism Association and Russian-Speaking Communities Association established to improve commerce between Turkey and Russia and to advance cultural connections, and the President of ITK Manisa Yunusemre of Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.
