Modernized by GTİ in 2012, the Nusaybin Customs Directorate was initially designed as a border gate. However, due to civil unrest in neighboring Syria and the suspension of border crossings for security reasons, the facility was repurposed as an internal customs directorate, primarily serving commercial vehicles undergoing customs procedures.
Located on a 76,000 m² area, the Nusaybin Customs Directorate is equipped with 4 platforms—2 entry and 2 exit lanes for trucks (TIRs), as well as 2 platforms—1 entry and 1 exit—for cars and buses, ensuring efficient operations for cross-border trade and transportation.
