The Cilvegözü Border Gate serves as Türkiye’s primary border crossing to Syria. Modernized by GTİ, the border gate was temporarily closed to commercial vehicles in July 2012 due to the civil unrest in Syria and security concerns. However, it was reopened to facilitate the passage of vehicles carrying humanitarian aid to Syria. Spanning 85,000 m², the Cilvegözü Border Gate features a total of 6 platforms (3 entry and 3 exit) for truck crossings, as well as 4 platforms (2 entry and 2 exit) for automobiles and buses, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and passengers.
