Kapıköy Border Gate is located on the Historic Silk Road, which connects the East and the West, serving as Türkiye's gateway. With an architectural approach aimed at providing faster and more efficient service for passenger and truck crossings, the facility underwent modernization by GTİ and reopened in 2019.

Situated on an area of 70,465 square meters, the Kapıköy Border Gate provides a secure and comfortable passage for both passengers and vehicles. For truck crossings, there are a total of 4 lanes, with 2 entry and 2 exit lanes, while for cars and buses, there are 2 lanes, with 1 entry and 1 exit lane, ensuring safe and convenient passage. Additionally, there is a 100-unit apartment building available for use by the public personnel stationed at the border crossing. Furthermore, within the Border Gate, guests are provided with the opportunity to shop at modern Duty-Free stores, enjoy pleasant moments at restaurants and cafes, and benefit from tax-free services.

The renovated border gate enables an increase in trade volume between the two countries, thanks to enhanced passenger satisfaction and improved trade opportunities.
